Sportspersons of Year
Wellington East Girls' College swimmer Samantha
Lee & Wellington College cricketer Harry Boam
were named as the 2008 College Sport Wellington
Sportswoman & Sportman of the Year at the
annual Awards Dinner at the Duxton Hotel.
Amongst their achievements, Lee this year
became the NZ Women's 100m Buttterfly record
holder and Boam, after travelling to the World
Youth Cup earned a professional contract with
the Wellington Firebirds.
